"Only Caring is Caring": Good HR is more than just a fruit basket

A strong team performance! The HR concept "Only Caring is Caring" immediately makes it onto the shortlist of the HR Excellence Awards. As part of an individual employee experience, Experience One offers employees various benefits.

Experience One has long offered all employees numerous benefits, such as flexible and mobile working, sabbaticals and lunch and training allowances. With the "Only Caring is Caring" concept, however, we are going one step further and responding to the changing needs after the pandemic, remote working and in the midst of inflation. With measures on flexibility, health and wellbeing, we want to help ensure that our employees can not only work flexibly, but are also mentally and physically healthy and stay that way.

Christin Kannenberg's Human Relations team has developed an innovative package of measures that takes into account the many different life situations of our employees and aspects of health and work-life balance. This work has now been recognized with a nomination on the shortlist of the HR Excellence Awards in the "Benefits & Incentives" category.

The building blocks of the concept at a glance

  • Support for our EO parents and their children: If the children are ill, the focus is on getting well. That's why we only require a doctor's certificate from the 4th day onwards - this relieves the burden on parents and doctors' surgeries alike. In addition, there are up to 10 paid child sick days per year and child.
  • In the event of long-term illness, we top up the daily sickness allowance to the usual net amount for up to one year so that our employees can concentrate fully on their recovery.
  • So far, we have trained six people as Mental Health First Aiders - to raise awareness of mental health and as a first point of contact in times of need.
  • Work from wherever you want, up to 183 days a year: the option of workation offers more flexibility and a better work-life balance.
  • EGYM Wellpass and JobRad leasing for more exercise in and outside of work.

Unfortunately, it wasn't enough for first place in this year's pitch to the expert jury of the HR Excellence Awards. However, the consistently positive feedback from our colleagues weighs so much more than any trophy. For us, the biggest incentive is to keep getting better!
